change

i'm not big on change
i am 100% sure my resistance to change comes from moving as a child
which always led to
changing homes
changing furniture
changing towns
changing schools
changing friends
changing churches

it wasn't always the easiest
and i promise i didn't always take the change with grace
the same grace the my mother always seemed to have
when we would get the phone call
which said....moving day is ....
i never liked it

so to this day,
i'm totally content to keep things as normal as possible
and by that i mean
i eat the same things over and over
i always go to the same places over and over....and drive the same route to get there and back
i do things in the same order, and totally dislike when things change my routine

keeping in mind that i dislike change so much,
that i typically don't try new things
and don't like to go to new places
and have major anxiety (ok maybe not major....but you know) over the new or unexpected....
i dislike when coke or pepsi come out with new flavors
i dislike when hershey's come out with new kisses
i dislike when companies do the whole new and improved thing with their boxes or packaging or whatever.....

so i never expected to find and love these

so when i first heard of the nerd's bumpy jelly beans....
my first thoughts....
what was wrong with normal jelly beans?
what was wrong with just nerds?
why would you mess with two perfectly good things....mr. willy wonka?
i had feelings of disapproval, and i had decided never to ever give my time or taste to these new jelly beans....

but then....it happened....
i looked at those.....
bumpy....
funny.....
jelly beans
and decided.....
why not....
and now....
i'm hooked....
these are the best.....i seriously mean that....best
jelly beans i have ever
ever had in my entire life!

don't get me wrong
they look funny
but they are good

i must say.....thanks to flake's sister for introducing me to my newest favorite jelly bean....
and....
on that note....
i have to admit....

change isn't always that bad!

You know what a former Pastor told me one time: "Change is Growth and Growth is Life" it's put it all in perspective for me... I think he's agree about these JB's too! :)

I absolutely love Easter time because of all the different types of jelly beans. Not a fan of regualar jelly beans though. However, haven't tried these yet, but will definitely. Can't wait!!
